My dream for Peggy's Cakes and More is that we are where every recipe is made with passion, creativity, and a commitment to making life's special moments even sweeter.

My journey began as a wife, mother, and home baker who simply loved creating delicious treats for family and friends. When my son, Logan, was diagnosed with Autism and faced multiple food allergies, baking became much more than a hobby—it became a mission.

​

I quickly realized that many children and families dealing with food allergies had limited options when it came to celebrating birthdays, holidays, and special occasions. No child should feel left out when it's time for cake and celebration. Determined to make a difference, I pursued professional cake decorating training and became a Master Cake Decorator, specializing in gluten-free, sugar-free, and dye-free desserts that are every bit as beautiful and delicious as traditional treats.

Over the years, Peggy's Cakes and More has grown far beyond specialty cakes. Today, we proudly offer custom cakes, cookies, breads, candies, sugar art creations, jellies, pickles, and a variety of handcrafted desserts. Whether you're looking for allergy-friendly options or a classic, old-fashioned cake made from scratch, we have something for everyone.

Our passion for bringing people together has also expanded into full-service catering. From intimate gatherings and family celebrations to weddings and large events, we provide delicious, customized menus to fit your occasion. We even smoke our own meats using our smoker, bringing authentic flavor and a homemade touch to every meal. Whether you're looking for mouthwatering barbecue, hearty comfort food, or an elegant catered spread, we can create a dining experience your guests will remember.

When I'm not baking or catering an event, you'll find me connecting with the community at the South Padre Island Farmer's Market on Sunday and The Market at WildAugust on Friday. I also enjoy doing an occasional special pop-up throughout the year, giving customers an opportunity to discover new treats and seasonal favorites.
